After studying education and languages across Australia, France, Japan and Austria, Michael has moved on from being a high school language teacher in Sydney to a course tutor based in Vienna. He has experience teaching young learners on English summer camps, adolescents in high school language subjects, and adult classes across two universities. Michael is keen to share his passion for language teaching and he looks forward to helping prospective teachers to make their mark on the world.

Driven by her passion for learning coupled with a love of languages and culture Joanna has lived in many different countries before returning to Austria. Joanna graduated from Cambridge University in 2013 and became a Student Teacher on the course attaining her CertTESOL and TEFL-YL qualification. Through her teaching career Joanna has become an avid proponent of the Communicative Language Approach alongside Active Learning which she now is able to use and share with new Student Teachers at the Academy as well as students in schools. This is the eighth country she has resided in and has taught students from all over the world in her career as an English teacher. In her free time Joanna loves to travel and experience new cultures and languages and of course new foods. She loves visiting Europe via train and aspires to visit more European countries while based here in Austria.

Emma moved to Austria to begin a career in English teaching. Since then she has lived in Poland and has gained experience teaching business English as well as in a kindergarten and numerous schools in Austria. During her free time she enjoys skiing, volleyball and exploring all the interesting places in and around Austria.
BA. MA TESOL
After completing her MA in TESOL, Fiona has worked predominantly in Ireland and Austria teaching EFL to a wide variety of EFL learners. She lived in Dublin for two years and in 2016 she followed her heart to Vienna in Austria, where she worked as a Course Tutor training student teachers to become EFL teachers. In 2018 she worked as Academic Manager back in Ireland for a language school where she had immense fun teaching and training students, both adults and children, of all backgrounds and cultures. When she isn't teaching, she coaches the Vienna Gaelettes in Gaelic Football and recently participated in the Pan European Championships in Vienna. In her downtime she enjoys cooking, reading and swimming.
