Job Summary

Teach English to young learners in Austrian schools using our innovative, communicative method! You will travel to local Austrian schools, implement our immersive English projects and make a positive impact on the educational experience of your students. We have a number of freelance positions available on a weekly basis:

  • 3rd Februar – 7th Februar 2020
  • 10th Februar – 14th Februar 2020
  • 24th Februar – 28th Februar 2020
  • 9th March – 13th March 2020
  • 20th April – 24th Februar 2020
  • 22nd June – 26th June 2020

Details of Position

As a freelance EFL Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to be part of a world-class educational organisation. Duties include:

  • Teach 25 hours per week in schools across Austria, implementing our innovative, communicative method
  • Motivate, engage and inspire your students
  • Communicate with your Senior Teacher to ensure cohesive delivery of English projects
  • Travel between campus and school
  • Ensure integrity of project paperwork and administrative procedures

An initial training session will be held in Vorchdorf prior to the commencement of the contract. Attendance at this training is mandatory for all EFL teachers wishing to take up freelance positions with Hello English!

Organisation Profile

The GET Academy and its associated not-for-profit initiative Hello English! promote a holistic approach to language learning based on the development of social and communicative competences in an immersive learning environment. The Academy leads the way in Initial Teacher Training for students of TEFL by putting theory into practice in real Austrian classrooms, while Hello English! connects native-speaking English teachers with Austrian children through project-based cultural and linguistic exchange.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will be a English native-level speaker, hold a TEFL qualification and have experience that demonstrates both a genuine talent for working with children and teaching skills:

  • TEFL qualification
  • Minimum of 300 hours classroom experience.
  • Experience using a communicative approach to language teaching
  • Experience in a young learner classroom
  • Residence and work permit for Europe
