At what age can my child take part in an English summer camp?
We recommend from the age of 8. However, if your children were already able to experience English lessons in the form of remedial lessons in the 1st & 2nd elementary school or English was already integrated into the curriculum, they can take part from the age of 7 (reading ability is a prerequisite). Alternatively, your child can also take part in our online lessons. Your child will soon be ready for the summer. Learn English

Yes, as long as there is nothing to the contrary from a medical point of view. Allergies, diets and illnesses must be made known in advance. If your child requires additional care due to an allergy and/or illness, please contact us. Please understand that we are here for the group, we cannot provide individual care.
Is there a sibling discount?
We do not have a sibling discount. If you book by the end of April, you will receive a 5% discount with the GET early bird bonus.
Do the teachers also speak German?
Our teachers do not speak German. We have an additional caregiver at each camp. This person is the contact person and intermediary for all topics and concerns of parents, teachers and children.
The communication between caregiver, parents and children takes place in German. The communication between our teachers/native speakers and the children is exclusively English.
What’s the daily routine like?
On Monday morning we want to give all parents and children an official warm welcome at 8:45 a.m. at the entrance to the school or, depending on the circumstances, also at school.
We introduce teachers and caregivers. We divide the children into groups. We will also provide you with important information to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible and we make sure you know your children are in good hands.
And then it’s off to the classrooms. Weekly schedule
What is especially important to us
We also know that it might be a bit stressful for our youngest participants in the beginning. When suddenly someone speaks in a completely different language and the participant does NOT understand a word. We also know from experience of the last years and the thousands of children that this gets easier day by day, fun follows as well as the joy with the newly learned makes of course also proud and happy.
There may be a tear or two, but we can guarantee that your child will even want to talk to you in English at the end of the week to show what they have achieved!
We stress the importance of punctuality, cleanliness, and remind you what to bring each day (lunch, indoor shoes, change of clothes, etc.)
Parents who have questions are welcome to contact the caregiver after the children are in their classes.
When will I receive detailed information about the English summer camp?
Three weeks before the start of the camp you will receive all information about our English summer camp by email.
How many participants are in a group?
- 8–10 years: approx. 16 children
- 11–14 years: approx. 20 children
This grouping is based on our program and our experience. The children are divided into small groups during the week, to encourage group dynamics. These small groups allow for a high level of participation for all children.
Is there a place to buy or heat up lunch?
There is no catering on site, fresh fruit and vegetables are provided. The children are welcome to pick them up during the breaks and eat them.
We know that learning new things can make you hungry! Therefore, we ask you to simply pack enough snacks, depending on your child’s eating behavior. The children always eat and snack together! Refrigerator or reheating facilities are not available.
For safety reasons, we ask for your understanding that we do not allow children to leave the school premises to buy food or snacks. You hand over the supervision to us and we take this responsibility very seriously.
What does my child need to bring?
A good mood and lots of fun! The following items are also required:
- Slippers, pencil case, comfortable clothing, sports shirt/pants, gym shoes (white soles), towel
- Sunscreen & hat
- Snack & lunch as required by your child
- Water bottle – please with name (so that there are no mix-ups or misunderstandings)
Who can I contact if I have questions?
If you have any questions, we are happy to help you by phone (+43 7614 21499) or email (ferien@get-academy.com)!
Where are our native speakers from?
Our native speakers come, for example, from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Canada, South Africa, Australia and the USA. Our native speakers live almost exclusively in Austria and or have their main place of residence in Austria. Some of our teachers join us in the summer as they teach at international schools around the world during the year.
